The ACT Prolite flywheel is made from premium quality forged Chrome-Moly steel, CNC machined, and balanced. It is durable and thick enough to be resurfaced. Certified to SFI Specification 1.1. The Prolite, being lighter than the Streetlite, makes for faster revving, and significantly reduced rotating mass for even more of a perfomance increase than the Streetlite. ACT reccomends the Streetlite RX8 flywheel for street driving and drag racing and the Prolite RX8 flywheel for road racing due to the increase in harshness and choppier engagement.
